Percussion Auditions
Junior Band Materials
Jr band percussion students will audition with the following materials:
Rudiments and Scales will not be required for any percussion auditions this year.
JR Percussion will only audition on the Tanner Multiple Percussion Piece #3
Prepared Selection:Eight 3-minute Solos for Multiple Percussion by Peter Tanner- Solo #3, both pages, all percussionists are required to play the multiple audition solo.
NOTE: Beginning tempo marking should be dotted quarter = 120.
Senior Band Materials
Senior band percussion students will audition with the following materials:
Rudiments and Scales will not be required for any percussion auditions this year.
SR Percussion will only audition on the Tanner Multiple Percussion Piece # 3 AND the Whaley Etude(s) for either Snare Drum #13 or Mallets #13 or BOTH.
Prepared Selection:
Eight 3-minute Solos for Multiple Percussion by Peter Tanner Solo #3 both pages, all percussionists are required to play the multiple audition solo.

Prepared Selection:
Students may choose the Snare etude, mallet etude, or both Excerpts from All-State Audition Music - Audition Etudes for Snare Drum, Timpani, Keyboard Percussion, and Multiple Percussion, by Whaley (Meredith)
